Background

Originally seen as a cash-only business, Car Washes hit the scene in the early 2020’s and soon they were popping up on every corner. Early attendance with the leading Car Wash equipment manufacturers Academy perpetuated Bay to Bay to the top as the team dove headfirst into understanding, articulating, diagraming, and leading the conversations between architects, tenants, equipment installers, plumbers, and electricians on the complexities associated with these builds.

 

Fast forward and Bay to Bay continues to hold collaborative meetings among the multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and work through efficient builds to reduce the overall duration of the schedule.

Solution/Approach

As early as 2020, Bay to Bay hosted an internal Car Wash Synposium and brought together key stakeholders within the Car Wash segment to discuss best practices associated with this growing segment. From these extensive interactions, Bay to Bay has been uniquely able to utilize strategic partners to coordinate and work together to establish the proper delineation of work early on in the project as not to impact efficiency in the field.


Having gone through this process, Bay to Bay is also able to proactively provide value engineering options to clients engaged early on in their project and ensure that they are guiding their design team early on. Through proactive communication, color-coded diagrams, and predictable scheduling discussions, Bay to Bay has consistently been able to turn over car washes on time.
